Wolfsangel
Notes
I think about 40% of my distaste for this book is the cover. Sheesh.

I picked this up on recommendation from somewhere, somebody called it a really compelling viking book, something that rooted you in that historical world in some very interesting way. Also something about werewolves in that recommendation, I didn't remember what. Anyways, I hated this.
I mean, I finished it, which I'm not a stickler about. But it's got these long dark magical passages that I was NOT into, and the more mundane bits in the Norse world were interesting but... fine? IDK.
It DID really feel like a pretty brutal and red-in-tooth-and-claw sort of society, very Dark Ages-y, very 'the past is a foreign country.' A good companion with the movie The Northman, which I also watched and had a very similar vibe.
