Short stories from the turn of the century: ghosts, monsters, voodoo, and the supernatural. Picked this up for a Halloween read on the recommendation of an Inkling listserv I'm on, and man: these are pulpy but legitimately weird. Like the one where the whole plot is that the narrator's friend - a rich, kind, extremely athletic person - turns out to be half orangutan because his mother was raped by someone's pet???
