It turns out (and people who are actually educated or know how to use Google already know this) that it's a dramatic adaptation of a well-known work by the same name, Tom a Lincoln. So while the author of this one is unknown, I'm just marking it down as Johnson until we know better.

OK, this is an unpublished Jacobean play that was discovered as a manuscript in the library of a British nobleman in 1973. And it has a subtitle like: The Most Pleasant History of Tom a Lincolne, That Renowned Soldier, The Red-Rose Knight, Who for his Valour and Chivalry, was sirnamed The Boast of England, Shewing his Honorable Victories in Forraine Countries and How He Married the Daughter of Prester John. How could I not love that?
