The River at Night

Notes

A really impressive work of art. A twisty, looping, fractured set of stories all sort-of happening while one man tries to fall asleep, after drinking too much coffee. It's like, obviously good, but I found the actual experience of reading WAY too much like the experience of not being able to fall asleep, with your mind running in circles but incapable of forming a useful thought. I found it very unpleasant.
