I'd read the Double before, but Erika gave me this for Christmas, because she knows who my favorite russian translators are! That's a kind of attention that was a bit suprising and sweet. Sure, I've probably told her a dozen times that Pevear and Volokhonsky are great, but why would she remember it, except that she loves me?
