TALOON,TTTN#1:TPP, as I like to call it, was a real surprise. The cover and library designation made me think it would be a lighthearted adventure book for kids - something along the lines of 'Unfortunate Events' or Harry Potter.
Wrong, wrong, wrong. This book is intense. It's serious, more than a little dark, and really well and weirdly written. A modern gothic YA novel about the Revolutionary War? I highly recommend it.
