Lost in the Moment and Found
Notes
All of McGuire's concepts are SO good on paper - what if you ran away from home and found your way to the place where all lost things go? - even down to the idea that it's populated by magpies, and in fact all magpies come from this world - but then there's just so little THERE in the books themselves.

Next, this one is the backstory / lost world experience of Antoinette, the girl we met as a side character in the previous book. She's even younger than the protagonist of the Horse Girl book, and there's a too-long and too-uncomfortable approach of this little girl nearly getting molested and then running away. The lost world she comes to is fine, but I personally don't like how this serves as super-world-building, adding structure and rules to the 'every heart a doorway' thing.
