Am I back on the Napoleonic Dragon series? Yes I am. I never like an amnesia plot, but it's fun to visit Japan. Honestly, that segment seems like it was just filler to get to Napoleon; we know the climax of the series has to be an epic battle with the French, doesn't it? But I do like the Russian part, and we get to visit the part of the Napoleonic / Russia campaign that I only know from War and Peace. Smolensk! Kutuzov! Borodino! The surrender of Moscow!

We finally meet an American dragon and he is distressingly commercial. Like: I don't care what happens between you and Napoleon, or right and wrong, as long as it helps my shipping and trading. I love it.
