This is full of astounding assertions about native american indian civilizations. I have no idea how credible it is, but it had two big effects on me:
- Every page or so, I wanted to look u and exclaim some new fact, like: "Did you know Squanto had lived in England before he met the Pilgrims?"
- And in all seriousness, it did make me consider how technically sophisticated indian civilizations might have been - and what a huge, unimaginable tragedy the arrival of Europeans and their diseases was. Especially the diseases!
